We are now approaching the beginning of "the end of the season". Workouts are getting shorter and faster, and the legs are finally starting to feel right.

Our team doesnt have a meet until saturday so we can put in a solid week of high mileage and a couple tough work outs. Our goal as a team is very simple.. Top 10 at the state meet and regional.

As an individual i also want top 10 for our team and a school record as well (15:47). Right now i feel a long ways away from it as my PR is 16:07 (Portage invite), I feel trapped and stuck in the 16's like i will never break that minute barrier.. But I have and will do whatever it takes to get there. I know it wont be and hasnt been easy but I also know this sport wouldnt be the same if it was.

Our team had its first taste of success last year as we qualified and placed 19th at the State Meet. We have a new coach this year who believes in more base miles and tough training, Everyone is much better this year and quite a bit faster because of him. Some people even 8 minutes faster than last year!

I feel like me and many others on the team owe so much to our coach (Big D), even when times are tough and things don't look/feel good he is there to assure us everything will  be fine. He has proven many times that he knows exactly what he's doing and i completly trust him.

As hard as things sometimes seem and as far away goals may seem to be i know as long as i completly listen to Big D it will come, not only for me but the entire team. As much as he tries to credit us he is truly the one who is responsible for our recent success, the team and i know and understand Big D completly knows what he's doing and we will only get better because of him we can and will "SHOCK DA WORLD" PLB Thank You coach <3
